IASK: Improvisation for Animation with Scott & Kristin

You're submitting. You're prepared. So why aren't you booking more animation work?

It's probably not your technique. It's your instincts under pressure.

Animation directors don't just want a clean read anymore. They want actors who can build a character on the fly, take a hard redirect, and bring something unexpected every single time. That's not technique. That's improv, trained specifically for animation.

That's exactly what IASK is.

IASK is the first workshop to combine improv training and animation performance into a single unified methodology — built by two people who between them have spent 50+ years working at the highest levels of this industry.

Kristin Paiva is a working casting director and voice director. Disney, Nickelodeon, and beyond. She's one of the people who decides who books. In IASK, she's in the room with you.

Scott Parkin is an improviser, actor, and VO coach with 30+ years in the business. He will get more out of you than you knew was in there.

In one 4-hour session you'll build original characters through live improv, get real-time direction from both of us, and perform in a live animated table read, a professional experience that has largely disappeared from the industry and that you won't find anywhere else.

10 actors per session. Maximum.

What IASK Alumni are saying...

Maeria Paez took IASK. Went back to her booth. Booked Nickelodeon AND Pixar.

We didn't promise her that. We promised her four hours of real work. She did the rest.

"Like a shot of adrenaline to the heart." — Benjamin Dane

"Worth it and then some." — Drew Kocour

"I feel like I've unlocked ten new skills." — Sarah Noel
